BOAF Part Six
Block Six of Birds of a Feather is done! It is the one on the right in the photo. Each block is a different size (the first 5 blocks are clothespinned to a hanger on the left in the photo). There were a few extra curvy blocks to make also, for somewhere else on the quilt TBA! I will soon be opening up my other blog (over on AOL). I have had it for several months but have kept it as a private blog. I have mainly used it for my own record of quilting tips. I am very much a novice quilter and like to keep track of things that have worked for me, as well as shortcuts and ways to improve accuracy. I will post it as a link in my sidebar when I have it ready. I thought about incorporating these novice tips here in this blog----but!!! As I visit the blogs of fellow quilters, I have never seen one yet that I would classify as novice! Blogland is full of experts! Stay tuned...it may be awhile!

Your birds of a feather blocks are looking wonderful! I can't wait to see how they are going to put them all together!
You're definitely NOT a novice quilter - you do some incredible things! I visit often to see what you're up to. :-)
I agree - you are not a "novice" - you do things beautifully that I would never even try yet. We all benefit from everyone else and everyone has thier own strenths and is a novice in one form or another.
Looking forward to your 'other' blog, 'cos I AM a novice quilter, and I agree with the other comments, from the work you have shown - like today's applique, you aren't in that category. Aren't blogs a fantastic way to learn?
Testing Comments section...
woohoo!!!!
That seems to have done the trick!
Jeanne :)
Love the bird block. I admire your quilting...never have tried.
I always love to come over and see the next block over here, because they run a bit behind on offering them for download on the site.
Great block, although I'm not too sure about he curvy drunkards path blocks being included, Hum? I'll have to take their for for that one!
Great work!!
Your Birds quilt looks fantastic! That is a huge project and I admire you for plugging along. Your antique bricks is really neat also. I am with you-I just love looking at the really old fabrics. You don't need to quilt it, just drape it.
You better give yourself a promotion, Vera. Those blocks are wonderful!
Wow - what beautiful applique. I missed the beginning of this quilt. Are you doing hand applique or machine applique? Your work is wonderful - and I will certainly enjoy reading your tips and techniques. I've been quilting for a long time, but still feel like a novice most of the time. Reading blogs and looking at pictures gives me inspiration and ideas.
Vera you do such beautiful work, definately not novice! I am looking forward to visiting the tips blog!
Sorry to have missed you in Liberty!
yep, I agree--you are beyond novice! I love your birds of a feather blocks!
