See Previous Post
Here's the September BOM for my guild's monthly drawing that I mentioned in my previous post. Cute li'l guy, huh? I also got all of my pieces for Block 8 of the Birds of a Feather fused and ready to machine blanket-stitch. Hooray--no skinny bias stems to deal with this month!!! Hopefully I will have a photo to share next week. I am having out-of-town company all weekend so probably not much sewing will take place! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend, y'all!

Everything looks wonderful Vera!! All the blocks and quilts and everything!!
Great Block, But I have a thing for tree blocks, I'm excited to see your completed BOM quilt.
Melanie
I love the subtle tree fabric making up the tree. My Mum loves the pine tree blocks - maybe a future project?
perfect fabric for the block---did you say what size this was completed?
Fprgpt to say I am waiting to see that next block as they haven't gotten it out for us non paper people yet. I emailed the guy in charge and asked when it was coming out though. The book is ready for pre-orders on the web site and I may go ahead and order it!
Can't wait to see your block #8!
Whew! You've been busy!! Love all of the pictures...I'm going to go check out Picasa now to see if it will help with my own picture-loading problem.
Hope your weekend is SPECTACULAR!!
Enjoy your company Vera - we'll miss you. I'll be spending some time picking fabrics for you.
:-)
Our guild does the same thing with the BOM. I am the BOM Person this year, and am having a blast with it(much more fun than being prez, lol). I love all the works you have shown this week. Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend! tc
good luck- that is how I feel about the block I made for our guild's version of the same thing-LOL.
I won't get much sewing done this weekend either. We'll be in the mountains a couple nights and then Sunday I need to get a hike in and do laundry so I can pack to go to my mom's on Monday. I am taking along my QUILT Pink project to her house to work on so I should make some progress on it next week.
It's a really neat pine tree. It'll be fun to see all the BOMs together.
Sounds like you are getting lots and lots done. Enjoy the weekend company..autumn is almost upon us..*VBS*
I really, really like the idea of your strip a day all month. A neat and easy journal. Might just try that for '07

Have a wonderful time with your company! Maybe they will want to see you work on your BOAF #8 :-))).
The problem we have with BOM blocks with our guild is the great experience level of the different people that do it. We literally have people who can't make a nine-patch... and people that can't seem to measure accurately... and people that think a simple nine patch is beneath them... lol
What do you do about that? Or is your guild more level when it comes to experience?
