Back From the Valley of the Sun!

We are home from a wonderful vacation in the Sonorran Desert. What beautiful landscape! And the sunsets were just the most magnificent!!!! My favorite of all desert things were the amazing saguaro cacti. Each had its own personality. I was lucky enough to see this spiral petroglyph in Tucson and this cute little roadrunner outside the San Xavier Mission. Locals had told us that it was highly unlikely we'd see a roadrunner---so glad we did!
You might recall that before I left on vacation, my monitor was showing everything green (and not the good kind of green). Turned out that my monitor software had become corrupted and just reloading it fixed the problem---for now anyway. Also, upon return it appeared I had no choice BUT to switch to new blogger--so here we go. Hope everything runs smoothly. I didn't get a chance to visit any quilt shops in Phoenix or Tucson but plan to make another trip next year and that will be at the top of my list!!! None of my friends that we hung out with are quilters or crafters. Thanks to all who gave suggestions for shops and I will hold onto those. Well, this will be a short post. I have unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, and cat petting to do. Just wanted to say hi and I'll be making the rounds of blogs the next few days.

I am lagging a bit behind, Vera but welcome back.

I am glad that you and your sweetie are standing by the cactus so you can tell just how big it really is! Save those quilt shops for the next time out--maybe your friends will humor you then?

Arizona is such a beautiful state. We were there for a visit last year. Loved the Saguaro desert by Tucson. Loved everything about Arizona actually!
