WIP Wednesday
I love how a photograph can help you see things that the naked eye misses! I will need to make 6 more string blocks for across the top! I am running very low on the long strings and may need to dig deeper in the stash! I am auditioning border fabric. The colors don't show up very well but the outer border fabric is from the Nell's Flower Garden line. I have absolutely loved that whole line!!! Inner border is a cherry pink texture that I've had in my stash for a lo-o-ong time and would love to be able to use it. I think I will re-name this from Chocolates and Cherries to Sundaes in the Park. Still thinking on that one!

This quilt is coming along quite nicely. It is making me hungry!
What a stunning quilt, Vera. I too love that line of fabric!
Gorgeous -- it does make me think of chocolate covered cherries. Delish!
Lovely Vera - cherry liqueur chocolates - yummmmm!!!
I am loving the looks of it. Makes me excited to get my own brown and pink quil back from the quilter.
I think the border fabrics you have picked are just perfect!
Chocolate and cherries sounds about right. Love the colors. And the border matches just right.
Vera it is very, very pretty. I love that group of fabrics...the border is gorgeous.
YUMMY!!!!
I love the brown and pink color combo and your border fabric is perfect.
Awesome quilt! You've been busy!!
Doesn't matter how many calories the name has, its going to be beautiful and utterly delicious.
Goodness - this quilt is absolutely delicious! My favorite color combinations! Wonderful job.
It is beautiful!
Wonderful quilt, I love the pinks and browns together. Yummy!!!
I am not normally a fan of strings but this quilt is terrific! So beautiful . . . .
Heavens, what a gorgeous quilt-to-be. Maybe you don't need a border?? It looks so divinely vintage as is.
It's looking yummy Vera...quite delectable.
I like pink and brown together. It's not a combination I would have thought of previously. I have some pink scraps and I think a few brown FQs. Mmmmm. . . maybe there's a pink and brown quilt in my future.
What great colors! Using only two colors for a string quilt really makes it dynamic! The colors you chose look good enough to eat too!
Vera, your string quilt is just lovely! It makes me want to get busy and make one myself. Whatever you decide to name it, this is one stunning quilt!
*hugs*

I LOVE this quilt- the tones are so winderful together!
Nice colours - definately chocolate and cherries.
I really like the pink and brown strings - did you have these already in your string bin or did you cut them? I'm using reds and blues for my patriotic string star but had to cut some light blues and some reds. I think I'm adding to my strings not deleting them by doing these quilts that aren't completely multi colored scrappy.
I have a set of pink and brown fat quarters and some rolls of reds and browns too. I don't know what I'll end up using them for.
You are right! It does look like chocolate covered cherries. Very pretty in the limited pallette
