In A Bind

Spent a morning recently making binding for the three quilts. I always manage to make way too much LOL --and I even measure! But it is okay to have some leftover for craft projects. Aren't toilet tissue rolls just the handiest for rolling the binding onto! They kinda look like flying saucers from this angle...

Done Done: Two donation quilts for Quilts in Force and Scrapbag Explosion!

It was a busy weekend trying to get these UFOs all finished and out of the sewing room. I must, must, must tidy up the area. It is so hard to concentrate when there are things piled everywhere--especially things that should be done and out the door!
Next up for finishing: Twelve Days of Christmas and Chocolates & Cherries. It still won't be a completely clean slate, but getting close. Sometimes UFOs don't bother me and other times they drive me up the wall. This is one of those "other times"!

I have GOT to do that last quilt you have posted! I've loved it since the book came out (Bong) but it's been around for a long time, and what a great use of scraps. Good Job Girl!

Wow - what a great weekend you have had. I love the idea of making binding ahead of time. I have some fabric that I almost cut recently and then I remembered that I needed to save it to make binding.

I like the idea for the binding, would have never thought of it. You have been productive. I like the binding on your last quilt pictured. Very clever.

Vera, You are very organized. I use paper towel cores for storing my pantograph patterns. Hadn't yet found a use for the TP cores but now I know one. The photos are showing some pretty work there.

Mmmm - having extra bindings is such fun. When you need a scrappy binding - just take a snip here and there, stitch it up.
You are making such great progress on UFO's - sometimes they bother me, too. I make a list start working and then I always seem to lose the list *s*

Great idea about making binding ahead of time. I would have never thought to use toliet paper rolls as holders.

Your Scrapbag Explosion is great! I keep binding on hand all the time, keep rolling extra on top of extra and whenever I need scrappy, pieced binding... voila!

I love the quilt with the scrappy squares and half square triangles. It's lovely. I love how the squares go out into the border too, wonderful! Such a fun idea to use loo rolls for your binding, in my house I should be able to collect a huge supply of used rolls! *lol*

You are very "together" there, girl! I'm sure there is a sense of satisfaction just knowing you have all that binding ready. The quilts are great; I especially love how the last one posted came out.

Oh - really love that last quilt - the one from the Scrapaholic blocks. That border is unusual, striking and perfect!

It's great to finally have a little time to start catching up. I've really, really missed reading about what you are doing. Looks like you've been one busy lady!

You've been very busy. All great quilts, but particularly love the teddy bear one - so simple, but very effective :)
